Translation
Yoga is not for one who eats too much or too little, nor for one who sleeps too much or stays awake too much.
Explanation
There's a temptation, when taking up any serious practice, to treat austerity itself as the goal — pushing sleep, food, or rest to extremes as if suffering proved commitment. This verse pushes back directly: sustainable practice depends on basic bodily balance, not on punishing it.
