व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिरेकेह कुरुनन्दन । बहुशाखा ह्यनन्ताश्च बुद्धयोऽव्यवसायिनाम् ॥
Translation
Those who are resolute hold a single, focused purpose. The thinking of the irresolute branches out endlessly.
Explanation
There's a particular exhaustion that comes from holding five half-formed intentions at once rather than one clear one — the mental energy spent switching between them often outweighs the effort any single one would have taken. This verse is a nudge toward narrowing, not because ambition is wrong, but because scattered effort rarely accomplishes what it sets out to.
Reflect
Which of your current half-formed intentions would benefit most from being narrowed to one clear commitment?
